French-American actor Jean-Marc Barr trained at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and made his West End stage debut in Peter Hall's 'Orpheus Descending' with Vanessa Redgrave. Since his leading role in Luc Besson's The Big Blue, he has pursued a truly international career, appearing in films including John Boorman's Hope and Glory, Luis Puenzo's The Plague and Nicole Garcia's Le Fils Prefere. He recently appeared on UK television in the critically acclaimed mini-series 'The Scarlet Tunic.' Jean-Marc Barr has previously worked with Lars von Trier in Europa and Breaking the Waves.
