Dancer in the Dark is German actor Udo Kier's sixth collaboration with Lars von Trier. Kier previously appeared in the director's Medea, Europa, The Kingdom, 'The Kingdom II' and Breaking the Waves. Kier's countless feature credits include several cult horror films, including Andy Warhol's Dracula and Frankenstein and Dario Argento's Suspiria. He has appeared in Hollywood fare such as Armageddon, Blade, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and Johnny Mnemonic in addition to independents such as Gus Van Sant's My Own Private Idaho and Wim Wenders' The End of Violence. He recently completed filming History is Made at Night in Finland and The End of Days.
